What Exactly is Jade Presents?

The Oxford Dictionary defines Jade as “a hard, typically green stone used for ornaments and implements and consisting of the minerals jadeite or nephrite.”

That has nothing to do with Jade Presents. I just thought it was neat.

No, Jade Presents, as we know it, is the company bringing a slew of kick-ass music, comedians, and events to the Midwest. From the humble beginnings of helping friends promote their shows over 30 years ago to the thriving operation now responsible for promoting over 150 events a year, Jade Presents works hard to keep the heartbeat of Fargo, Moorehead, and West Fargo and far beyond the flatland, full of music.

However, there is one thing Jade Presents hasn’t done yet.

UP District Festival Field

Jade Presents was founded on and thrives by our mission statement:

“To set the stage for local audiences to experience exceptional live events, enriching the community, and making it a better place to live.”

We would like to introduce the newest member of the Jade family and the very first venue owned and operated by Jade Presents, UP District Festival Field.

Yeah, we know it is a bit of a mouthful; that’s why we’ve been loving referring to it simply as “Fest Field” here in the office.

Why Does Jade Want to Build a New Venue?

We try to make good on our mission statement with every show and event we bring to the Fargo-Moorhead area. Still, the introduction of Fest Field allows us to make good on our favorite part, which is enriching our community and making it a better place to live.

Did you know we could only throw one outdoor show a month at Fargo Brewing Company? That’s because we could only get one noise permit a month for shows Outdoors at Fargo Brewing. However, just by moving a few dozen feet south to an area zoned for Downtown Mixed Use (DMU), UP District Festival Field will be able to be granted more noise permits per month. This means more shows for you!

UP District Festival Field is our chance to bring you more music, more events, and more community involvement. Fest Field gives us another opportunity to enrich our community and make Fargo a more musical place!

What Kinds of Shows Can You Expect to See at Fest Field?

Fest Field will offer us a whole new wealth of opportunities. Obviously, we have a ton of outdoor shows lined up for you, some as early as this June! Fest Field will also offer plenty of all-ages shows and events built from the ground up for families. Another really cool perk: some Up District Festival Field shows will be so family-friendly that kids 12 and under will get in free! Shows offering this cool bonus will be clearly labeled on the event pages, as well as on social media when they are announced!

If you’re ready for some fun in the sun, we’re right there with you! Between Up District Festival Field and the Bluestem Amphitheater, Jade Presents has got you covered on your summer tan! (Please bring sunscreen!)

What Amenities Will Up District Festival Field Offer?

You can expect many of the same perks you would find at any other outdoor Jade Presents show, whether that be Bluestem or Outdoors at Fargo Brewing. You’re sure to find fresh air, new facilities, and an event space designed from the ground up for outdoor events in Fargo. You’ll also find specially designed vendor spaces where you can grab a snack or stock up on band Tees. Friendly Jade Presents faces will still be rocking the info booths, getting you the deets you need on current and upcoming shows.

Because we want Fest Field to be a gathering place for like-minded music lovers, you’ll also find specific spaces where you can throw down a blanket or a lawn chair, enjoy the tunes, soak up the sun, and shoot the breeze.*

What Will Happen to Your Outdoors at Fargo Brewing Company Tickets?

We are making this as easy as possible. If you have already purchased a show that was scheduled for Outdoors at Fargo Brewing but has been moved to UP District Festival Field, you won’t have to do anything! Your Fargo Brewing Company ticket will be honored at Fest Field.
