As we gear up for our first show of the 2018 Bluestem Summer Concert Series this weekend, let’s talk weather!

All shows at Bluestem Amphitheater will go on rain or shine, so we like to make sure our guests are prepared for anything the unpredictable Red River Valley might throw at us. We encourage that guests check local forecasts the day of the show and dress appropriately for all conditions. (When in doubt, bring a sweater!)

Please come prepared when forecasts include weather conditions such as strong winds, cold evening temperatures, and severe rain among others. Keep in mind that umbrellas are not allowed inside of the amphitheater; we recommend a poncho for rainy conditions.

Even on the nicest days, please also keep in mind the dangers of full exposure to the sun. Forgot to bring your sunscreen? No problem, we will have bottles available for purchase along with other essentials at the Jade Presents trailer—look for our logo!

Should inclement weather such as lightning or tornadic activity become a factor and pose a threat to the artists and guests, announcements will be made from the stage with information pertinent to the situation. We ask that all instructions be carefully followed to ensure everyone’s safety.

We recommend checking each show’s Facebook event page for day-of weather updates or download the Jade Presents app powered by Happy Harrys Bottle Shops (available in the Apple or Google Play stores) for the latest weather information. Real-time updates will be given through the app should we experience inclement weather during a show, so please make sure your push notifications are turned on.
